Rainy days, muddy trails

Gone is the summer.. Here begins my second experience of Fall in Chicago. Yet something is quite different this time. Dark clouds hover over the city, as incessant rains pepper the grounds. There has been more rain in this week than anything I experienced last Fall. Classes are interesting, but mentally draining. With my weekly job hours adding on to this, study life is taking a familiar form with respect to stress levels.

I'm taking two graduate level courses for my specialization this semester: Pollution Prevention and Renewable Energy Technologies. Both classes are going to have a big project to go along with the weekly deliverables. There's also the Interprofessional Project where I'm working on analyzing cooling systems for water recovery from power plants, a project sponsored by Sargent & Lundy. Now those are just the 'extras.' With this I've got 2 Chemical Engineering classes - Process Control and Chemical Reactions Engineering, and a Lab. So yea, that's pretty much going to be the story of the semester. These truly are "times that try men's souls." Yet, I will not be the summer soldier, nor the sunshine patriot..

Till we meet again.
