Journey to the West

Seven days... countless memories. As I sit here trying to recollect the eventful week, my mind is flooded with tons of noteworthy moments.. Where do I start.........

Let's take it from the top, shall we? Alright. So I left Des Moines in the morning on a rather smooth trip to LA. From the airplane I spotted my first LA landmark, the glowing Staples Center - home of the LA Lakers! It was past 9pm (Pacific time) when I finally reached the Kyoto Grand Hotel in Little Tokyo to join the rest of the trippin' party - Julian, Kwong Hann and Cheng Khang. The stage was set. Plans were made (though with considerable flexibility). The 2008-2009 winter trip had officially begun!
