The Bhopal Disaster

More than a year ago, a certain professor brought to my attention the worst industrial disaster the world has ever seen, to date. He only provided the class with a brief description, yet it was enough to pique my interest in the matter as I went ahead and looked further into the matter. At times, it was painful to read. Sometimes I asked myself if 'progress' at the risk of such irreversible catastrophes is really.. progress at all. Anyway, I leave you with a rather recent video on the tragedy.

For now, I can simply spread the word on the issue, which sadly many are still completely ignorant of (including myself over a year ago). During the AIChE National Conference last year we were asked a question regarding this disaster and I was the only one on my table who even had a clue..
